Little Miss Scout is our first child, a beagle, born April 21, 1997.
She not too happily took a lower position on the family totem pole when Katie
and Jack arrived, but she still gets plenty of love. Her favorite things about
the kids: Katie always wants to cuddle, and Jack is a great source of snacks.
Casey, a rat terrier, showed up in September 2005. Our
neighbors found her roaming the neighborhood and brought her to us, knowing we
were interested in getting a second dog. Although she and Scout are not very
fond of sharing attention, Casey is very sweet and has been a nice addition to
our family. We think she's about the same age as Scout.
